An insurance company is looking to hire 5 remote Medical Assistants to work east coast hours. You will provide live video virtual check in and check-out and live phone and messaging support for patients. You will provide support for your Care Team, including Virtual MDs, Advanced Practitioners, and Registered Nurses. You will be proactive in planning for each patient's medical needs from initial outreach to solution. You will build trust and relationships with patients by setting clear expectations and following up with action. You will assist with the order process, including sending requisition forms, and coordinating referrals. You will close the loop with providers after referrals are made, including collecting patient notes from providers. You will be responsible for scheduling appointments with patients for follow up care and call providers and facilities to clarify information and help solve complex cases. You will coordinate with internal departments to facilitate patient care and with external providers and facilities to ensure patient needs are met (laboratories, imaging facilities, pharmacies, vendors).

Required Skills & Experience
- At least 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant in an ambulatory setting
- Medical Assistant Certification
- Bilingual in Spanish; must complete verbal and written proficiency exams
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Proficient in Google Workspace; experience using Adobe, Slack, Docusign
