The Payroll Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate payroll records, processing payments, and ensuring compliance with garnishment requirements. They collaborate with the payroll team, assist with training, and handle special projects assigned by the Payroll Manager or Director. Additionally, they reconcile deductions, review payroll maintenance, and contribute to smooth monthly payroll processing. The specialist needs to have experience in high volume, in-house payroll processing.

Required Skills & Experience

* Experience with garnishments

* Experience with in-house payroll, not just ADP

* 3-5 years of multi-state payroll experience, preferably in a 300+ employee setting

* Excellent computer skills (spreadsheet applications and HR/PR systems, i.e. Lawson, Kronos Time Keeping System and Excel)
