As a Consulting Project Manager specializing in higher education, you will play a crucial role in overseeing projects for colleges and universities. Your expertise in consulting, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement will drive successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities:

* Project Planning and Execution:

o Develop detailed project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget, and timelines.

o Coordinate cross-functional project teams to ensure quality results within specified timeframes.

* Client Engagement:

o Work closely with clients (including foundations) to understand their needs, goals, and objectives.

o Communicate project progress, address concerns, and provide regular updates.

* Equity and Inclusion:

o Apply an equity lens to project management, considering marginalized populations and inclusive facilitation.

o Understand the language of spaces and orientation to create an inclusive environment.

* Risk Management:

o Identify and address potential risks that could impact project success.

o Develop contingency plans as needed.

* Team Leadership:

o Manage project teams, ensuring effective collaboration and resource allocation.

o Facilitate team meetings and provide guidance.

* Strategic Planning:

o Lead strategic planning efforts, including readiness assessment, planning, and implementation.

o Work closely with boards and stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Haves:

* 5+ years of experience in Higher Education: Must have worked in higher education settings, preferably with consulting experience where colleges or their foundations are the clients..

* Proven track record of community building and active engagement initiatives.

* Experience working with and supporting marginalized groups.

* Ability to approach tasks and decisions through an equity lens, ensuring fairness and inclusion.

* Skilled in engaging with various stakeholders effectively.

* Strong facilitation skills for leading discussions and workshops.

* Experience in strategic planning and implementation.

* Familiarity with how to work effectively with Boards of Directors or similar governing bodies.
