Insight Global's renewable energy client is looking for a Wind Project Consultant for electrical engineering support during pre-construction and construction. The consultant will be responsible for the following:
o Review / critique and provide subject-matter-expertise for 230 kV substation, 34.5 kV collector and other electrical design and related engineering studies (detailed design and modeling / study responsibility by others)
o Technical support in interactions with EPCs, turbine supplier, CAISO, County (for building permit applications), telecom providers, Owners internal Operations and SCADA teams
o Technical support to Owners construction manager during construction and commissioning

Required Skills & Experience

o Hands-on wind project development & construction, preferably in California
o Owner, EPC (preferred) or technical consultancy background
o Up to 50% travel
o Hands-on experience in design, construction and commissioning of solar and battery projects a plus (but does not substitute for wind experience)

- Solar industry experience
