Research Analyst, Technology Innovation Engineer

Job Summary

As part of a business technology team, analyzes business requirements and problems and participates in research to design quality technical solutions. This individual will be involved in portions of the full systems life cycle (based on experience/skills). Applies specialized domain knowledge in monitoring, assessing, analyzing and/or evaluating processes and data. Makes judgements and recommendations based on analysis and knowledge.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide strategic technical direction and hands-on work to develop and execute on short and long-term roadmaps across all aspects of the innovation team and associated teams.

• Ensure extraordinary user experience, including user support and resolution of issues, for all internal and external users.

• Provide guidance and maintain documentation for best practices and standards.

• Your insights will help improve technology offerings and identify areas for business growth.

• Reporting data is flexible, but assisting in PowerPoint slides and data charts would be a plus.

• Build/possess strong industry knowledge of the technology sector.

• Contribute to the generation of innovation ideas.

• Interpret data and perform analysis on technology trends.

• Facilitation of meetings, but internal and external vendors.

• Write reports/notes on companies under coverage and key industry topics.

• Create presentation material

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• The ideal candidate will have between one to four years of experience in markets or focusing on the technology/software sector.

• Experience managing vendors and supervising vendor/license contract lifecycles.

• Solid understanding of project and program management principles.

• Ability to work and deliver in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and willingness to adapt to changes.

• Encourages different approaches or ways of working.

• 1-4 years of experience focusing on the technology/software sector

• Ability to write clearly and concisely about technology, business, and other complex topics.

• Ability to comprehend and create charts, diagrams, tables, and other data visualizations.

• Must enjoy following the technology market and innovation-relevant research.

• Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.

• Must work well in a collaborative team environment.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirement

Education/Previous Experience

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or related degree and around 1 to 2 years of relevant experience (preferred) or combination of education, training and experience approved by Human Resources.
