JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Entertainment is looking for a Research Analyst/Senior Research Analyst to join their team! The Research Analyst/Senior Research Analyst has full ownership of and serves as the point of contact for audience insights on multiple FOX series and is heavily involved in synthesizing insights on competitive programming, marketing materials, brand perception, etc. The Research Analyst/Senior Research Analyst also has primary oversight of the entire awareness tracking process. This role plays a key role in facilitating the workflow of the Consumer Insights team by contributing to a wide range of projects as needs arise.

Based on experience, you could be hired at either the Research Analyst or Senior Research Analyst level.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOU RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collect and analyze viewer feedback on shows periodically via qualitative/quantitative surveys and focus groups
  • Conduct research on prospective and upcoming FOX series via quantitative concept tests and focus groups to gauge audience interest and areas for improvement
  • Synthesize findings into actionable insights for internal stakeholders including Programming (Alternative, Comedy, and Drama) and Marketing (Strategy and On-air Promo) via written memos and/or PowerPoint presentation and speak in meetings and with executives about the findings
  • Oversee awareness tracking of upcoming series, which includes internally maintaining and providing vendor with all relevant schedules and information, inputting data into internal tracking documents, analyzing changes and trends from week-to-week, season-to-season, etc.
  • Write and distribute a weekly memo company-wide summarizing pertinent information surrounding title awareness, intent to view, and network linkage which are indicative of marketing effectiveness. This project requires a lot of proactive communication and thinking ahead
  • Test promo spots for upcoming series via quantitative surveys and/or focus groups in order to gauge which most effectively generate interest in viewing
  • Assist in creating PowerPoint presentation summarizing the strongest testing promos and detail the most appealing aspects to inform decisions regarding which promos will run on-air and most successfully appeal to core targets
  • Take ownership of assigned FOX shows by familiarizing oneself with and staying up-to-date on the shows' content
  • Stay up to date with current media, entertainment, and consumer trends
  • Execute a quarterly consumer trends document


WHAT YOU WILL NEED
  • 1+ years of experience in television research for Senior Analyst
  • Superior aptitude for qualitative analysis and ability to effectively synthesize viewer feedback
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical writing skills and proactive to problem-solve and complete tasks
  • Strong research skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Presentation skills to present research findings via PowerPoint to team members and executives
  • Ability to balance multiple projects while exhibiting high attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.), comfortable using communication tools such as Zoom and Slack
  • Passionate about the Entertainment industry
  • Resourceful in gathering information
  • Pro-active and self starter

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $52,000.00-75,000.00 annually for California. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
