Job Description
Qualifications:
With guidance from supervision and within established procedures, conducts routine research laboratory activities, information/data management activities or operates small scale production equipment in support of research and development.
Identifies and suggests improvements in methods, plans projects of limited duration and scope, troubleshoots when erroneous or unexpected results occur.
Responsible for producing research experimental results, or information/data management results, or assembling and configuring of small-scale production equipment and control systems in a timely fashion utilizing a variety of techniques, effectively documenting findings and communicating results.
Responsibilities:
Laboratory Technician Contractor, Microbiology
Nature of work:
Microbiology laboratory bench work individually or in a team setting to accomplish daily lab tasks.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences, or related Life Sciences area,
Experience working with microorganisms,
Experience in basic microbiology lab techniques,
Attention to detail,
Proactive problem-solving attitude,
Self-motivation to learn and improve protocols,
Excellent verbal and written communication,
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications,
Excellent time management skills.
Responsibilities
Cell enumeration and viability assays,
Live microbe-based performance assays,
Physical property assessment assays of formulated samples,
Custom media preparation,
Troubleshooting protocols when discrepancies arise,
Keeping clear and organized result records,
Collaborating with IFF team and contributing to result interpretations,
Regular communications of results,
Presenting results to team as needed.
Education: Bachelors Degree
