A research group affiliated with the The Developmental Risk and Cultural Resilience Laboratory (DRCR lab, https://www.drcrlab.com/) is looking to hire one per diem qualitative research assistant to work under the direct supervision of Drs. G. Alice Woolverton (Brigham and Women's Hospital), Cindy Liu (Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School), and Laura Kubzansky (Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health). Ideal candidates are those who are thoughtful and detail-oriented in their work style, collaborative but also comfortable providing an opinion that may differ from those of your fellow team members. This project will focus on qualitative analyses of adolescents focus group interviews that focus on perceptions of physical and mental safety. This position is ideally suited for graduate students interested in external experiences to enhance their research training.

*This per diem (hourly) position will take place remotely or at Brigham and Women's Hospital.

Research Assistant responsibilities include the following:

  • Conducting inductive thematic analysis of three focus group transcripts (will include: code book development, interview coding, and theme analysis)
  • Attending weekly meetings with qualitative analysis team during weekday work hours
  • Devoting independent time to work on this project per week
  • Attending bi-monthly meetings with larger research team during weekday work hours
    • General coordination of research team meeting


Qualifications

Required: BA/BS in psychology, public health, or a related field

Preferred: Qualitative research experience, experience using Dedoose, flexible schedule during work hour
