Summary
  • Position Summary
    • Conduct a variety of research activities related to the collection, organization, and analysis of data under the general supervision of the principal investigator (PI) or senior staff. Assist scientists working in areas such as epidemiology, psychology, sociology, clinical research, statistics, decision science, health care utilization and outcomes research, evaluation research, community-based studies, intervention research, and secondary analysis of large data sets. Set up, maintain, and operate data bases and computer equipment. Must be able to recognize problems or deviations from the experimental design and protocol and notify appropriate staff. Master routine data collection procedures and analysis techniques to achieve the overall goals of the study. Position availability is directly related to grant funding.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: High school diploma preferred. Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • License/Certifications: N/A
    • Experience: No prior years of relevant experience required.
    • Ability to use a computer and statistical software packages to collect and enter data.
    • Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate and work effectively with others.
    • Visual acuity, manual dexterity, math skills and scientific acumen are required.
