Job Description

The Department of Ophthalmology seeks outstanding candidates for a full-time Research Assistant position at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting with ocular cell biology, biochemistry and microscopy experiments as part of a newly NIH-funded research project.

This involves preparing biological and other specimens for imaging and ocular cell biological and biochemical testing and to acquire and analyze related data. This position will assist in maintaining the ocular cell biology, biochemistry and microscopy equipment, order routine supplies, prepare technical reports and archive data.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications...

Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry or related field

Two years of experience in cell biology methods and in microscopy techniques

Preferred qualifications...

Experience in ocular cell biology
