The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the School of Engineering and Applied Science is seeking a Research Associate to work in the lab of Professor Kyusang Lee.

We are seeking a qualified candidate with expertise in the research and development of metal-oxide materials, devices (including fabrication processes), and integrated systems for High-Bandwidth Memory (HBM) to expedite low-power and high-performance solutions to the exponential computational demands of the AI era. This encompasses the design and fabrication of devices utilizing cutting-edge CMOS technology, including but not limited to film deposition, precise patterning, and etching processes. The candidate will also be responsible for evaluating and optimizing comprehensive device performance, as well as developing robust integrated operating systems. The Post Doc will report to Professor Kyusang Lee (in the Department of Electrical Engineering) but work within a sizeable research team to help support a variety of research projects. The Post Doc will be expected to conduct research & development independently, with minimal supervision, and to help mentor graduate students. Must be able to work in a team environment and meet project goal timelines. Salary and benefits offered will be commensurate with the experience and qualifications of the candidate.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: A Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field is required by the start date. The candidate should have experience with microfabrication processes (including electron beam lithography, photolithography, wet etching, reactive ion etching, inductance coupled plasma (ICP) etching, magnetron sputtering, and electron beam evaporator) and various electrical characterization processes. It is preferred if the candidate has experience in the fabrication and integration of HBM systems.
