Global Genotyping is seeking a Logistics & Distribution Research Associate (RA) who is responsible for multi-platform reagent distribution to our worldwide genotyping operations. This is a fast paced, deadline driven production environment blending technology, science and high throughput production. The successful candidate will be a motivated self-learner and have some combination of knowledge and/or experience with genotyping processes, logistics, customer service and high throughput processing. This position will work from 6:30am to 2:30pm. In this role, the RA will be the subject matter expert in the aliquoting space of Logistics and Distribution for both Low Density and Mid Density platforms. They will perform complex technical operations using automated instruments within a production environment while managing and maintaining storage systems. Responsibilities - What You Will Do:
  • Manage daily workloads and deadlines
  • Interact with specialized laboratory automation and LIMS applications
  • Maintain consumable inventory throughout the lab to aid in daily high-throughput operations
  • Perform routine troubleshooting and repair on automated instruments
  • Support continuous improvement activities
  • Lead project work relevant to the L&D operations space
  • Plan supply shipments based on demand outlooks
  • Troubleshoot processes, hardware and quality issues and conduct root cause analysis
  • Communicate with global laboratory leads to ensure inventory levels are maintained
  • Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with CAMS requirements
Qualifications

Education: College/University degree or 2 years of relevant experience in a high throughput laboratory, customer service or logistics/inventory environment Preferred Knowledge and Experience:
  • Genotyping methods, platforms, processes
