Job Summary

Serves as a key research coordinator responsible for facilitating the transition from data collection to analysis and publication. Utilizes expertise in research methodologies and statistical software to lead data analysis efforts. Conducts detailed evaluations of experimental results through advanced statistical techniques. Identifies and resolves data integrity challenges, providing actionable solutions. Engages in mentoring students, enhancing their understanding of research methods and analytical practices. Collaborates closely with faculty to produce impactful publications and ensures a productive research environment.

Responsibilities*
  • Manage and analyze complex datasets for research projects.
  • Oversee the transition from data collection to analysis and publication.
  • Conduct statistical and multivariate analyses to evaluate experiment results.
  • Troubleshoot data integrity issues and recommend solutions.
  • Mentor and guide undergraduate students in research methodologies and analysis techniques.
  • Coordinate the writing and submission of research papers.
  • Ensure adherence to research protocols and data management standards.
  • Facilitate training sessions on laboratory research techniques and statistical software.
  • Collaborate with faculty and team members on research initiatives.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of research processes and findings.

Required Qualifications*
  • Associate's in Psychology or a related field
  • Demonstrated strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively
  • Proficiency in statistical software such as SPSS and Python, along with extensive skills in Tableau and data visualization
  • Familiarity with Institutional Review Board (IRB) processes and applications
  • Experience in child and adolescent psychology or trauma-informed care

Desired Qualifications*
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in research coordination or a similar role
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a school setting
  • Clinical experience in mental health or social work settings
  • Strong communication and mentorship skills, with experience working with undergraduate students
  • Experience leading lab meetings and facilitating group discussions
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
  • Commitment to fostering a collaborative and respectful research team environment
  • Ability to engage effectively with diverse populations
  • Knowledge of best practices in mental health interventions

Modes of Work

Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes .

Additional Information

The salary range is $16,500 -18,500 Part-time rate. A higher salary may be offered based on equity and the selected candidate's experience.

This is a 7-month term-limited position with the possibility of renewal. The anticipated start date is 08/30/2024.
