DPR has an opening for a Research Data Specialist I (shall consider Research Data Analyst II) position in the Department's Pesticide Registration Branch. This position works on a multidisciplinary team and will serve as a program resource during development, implementation, and ongoing program maintenance of the statewide electronic pesticide registration submission tracking and data management system, California Pesticide Electronic Submission Tracking (CalPEST), and serve as a CalPEST program administrator. CalPEST is based on Microsoft Dynamics and uses Microsoft Power BI. This position supports implementation of and monitors CalPEST; helps guide and supports change management for CalPEST; independently develops and performs statistical analysis of data and ad-hoc research for use in the resolution of multiple pesticide registration program related issues; and provides consultative advice based on program data analysis.

Working Conditions
The candidate must possess the ability to:

Note: This position may be eligible for hybrid telework under Government Code 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California, subject to the candidate meeting telework eligibility criteria set forth in the CalEPA telework policy and/or future program need. Employees not residing in California are not eligible for telework. Regardless of telework eligibility, all employees may be required to report to the position's designated headquarters location, as indicated on their duty statement, at their own expense.
