Responsibilities
The lab of Dr. Kareem Mohni in the Department of Molecular Medicine is seeking a postdoctoral fellow. The focus of the Mohni lab is to understand the molecular basis of virus-host interactions by utilizing quantitative proteomics technology to determine the host factors involved in Herpesvirus DNA replication and restriction. The project will also involve a variety of molecular biology, cell biology, tissue culture, and biochemical approaches. The candidate will be expected to lead their own individual projects as well as contributing to collaborative research efforts. Experience working with viruses or DNA replication/repair is helpful but not required.
Qualifications
Must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a field deemed relevant by the program. Research Fellow is appropriate for individuals who have completed no more than one prior postdoctoral fellowship, at Mayo Clinic or elsewhere.
