Responsibilities
50% Lead inpatient assessment and metrics following research-based protocols developed at the University of Minnesota's Birth to Three Clinic and Early Childhood Mental Health Program, a national leader in assessment and intervention for pediatric patients of this age.
50% Patient telehealth follow-up assessment 6 months post ICU discharge. The assessment battery at each time point will include an interview with the child's parents and coded observation of the child and parent-child interactions. This data will be compared across time points, allowing for a longitudinal analysis of stressors and symptoms of mental health disorders that has not been previously described in the literature. Information will be gathered related to the child's functioning, challenges, and strengths, as well as the buffering capacity of the parent-child relationship, parent mental health status, and the family's medical and psychosocial stressors.

Required Qualifications
BA/BS in Developmental Psychology a combination of related education and work experience to equal four years.
Experience assisting clinical psychologists with behavioral assessments, follow-up with patient families, and scribe consult notes.
Knowledge of measures and metrics of mental health and neurodevelopment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience conducting academic literature reviews and contribute to manuscript/poster preparations.
Prior experience with Autism and Neurodevelopment Disorders Clinic and Masonic Institute for the Developing Brain.
