THIS IS A GRANT-FUNDED POSITION

JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Research Project Coordinator plans, directs, and coordinates activities to ensure the successful administration of the SCAN! (Skin Cancer Awareness Now!) community pharmacy skin cancer prevention intervention. This position assists the Principal Investigator with assuring that the training of pharmacists and student pharmacists have appropriate training for the intervention. This position monitors the recruitment and data collection and may assist locally with data collection at pharmacies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Participates in all additional data and resource collection, storage, management, auditing, and security as directed by research and program leadership.
  2. Produces reports, research summaries, and appropriate contributions to patient-directed materials, scientific meeting abstracts, academic publications, lay publications, and grant submissions, as directed by research and program leadership.
  3. Ensures timely and accurate entry of all required research data; oversees needed data collection including completing interviews with study participants.
  4. Maintains detailed records of implementation of study activities according to timeline and problem-solves when needed to overcome delays to scheduled activities.
  5. Designs and creates data collection tools according to the needs of the evaluation protocol.
  6. Develops a manual of operations for research studies and implements research protocols according to the manual of operations and IRB approved protocols.
  7. Assists principal investigators in evaluating and designating resources to accomplish each of the specific missions of the Network or research project.
  8. Gathers and updates materials needed for progress reports and other investigator-related activities.
  9. Conducts fidelity checks to ensure that the intervention was delivered as planned.
  10. Plans and leads weekly team meetings; schedules meetings for co-investigators, partners, and stakeholders.
  11. Performs other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Sciences, Pharmacy, Public Health, Nursing, or related Health Sciences field. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)

EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of program management experience; OR Master's Degree in lieu of experience. Must have a valid Driver's License.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and work with a study team.
  • Highly developed organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time.
  • Must possess a high level of interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Comfort and skills as it relate to working with team members at institutions across the country.
  • Comfort with quantitative data collection, scientific writing community-based health research, and public presentation.


WORK SCHEDULE: This position may occasionally be required to work weekends and evenings.
