Research Engineer - HCI / AR Input
Redmond, WA
12 month contract (potential to extend to 2 years)

$55-$60/hour + medical/dental/vision insurance, 401K planning & 15 days of PTO!

What You'll Do:
As a Research Engineer specializing in HCI and AR Input, you will collaborate with a diverse team of researchers and engineers to push the boundaries of human-machine interaction. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Design and Implement: Create and maintain a suite of experimental data processing tools to tackle novel research questions in AR input.
  • Analyze and Optimize: Utilize your expertise in signal processing and statistical approaches to analyze complex datasets, optimizing analysis flows for maximum efficiency.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with research scientists and engineers, communicating effectively to ensure alignment on experimental analysis and methodologies.

Who You Are:
You are a passionate and detail-oriented researcher with a strong foundation in data science, biomedical engineering, or computer science. You thrive in interdisciplinary environments and are eager to apply your skills to real-world challenges.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience with signal processing and statistical approaches to analyze noisy sensor data.
  • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with software best practices, including code reviews and version control.
  • Must have work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • PhD degree, enrollment in a PhD program, or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience summarizing and presenting insights from large, noisy datasets.
  • Familiarity with C++ and systems programming (e.g., networking, multi-threading).
  • Strong communication and personal management skills.
