The purpose of the research project(s) this Research Scientist/Engineer Assistant (NE S UAW RSE) position supports:

Study the genetic basis of epitheliam tissue maintenance and dysregulation

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist experiments by setup Drosophila genetic crosses (40%).

  • Maintain Drosophila stocks (20%).

  • Identify the genotypes desired for experiments (20%).

  • Generate DNA constructs (15%).

  • Prepare common laboratory stock solutions (5%).

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology or Biochemistry + less than one year of experience of relevant experience, OR Equivalent combination of education/experience.

  • General Biology.

  • Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    Experience in Drosophila Genetics.
