The purpose of the research project(s) this Research Scientist/Engineer Assistant (NE S UAW RSE) position supports:

Study the genetic basis of epitheliam tissue maintenance and dysregulation

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist experiments by setup Drosophila genetic crosses (40%).

Maintain Drosophila stocks (20%).

Identify the genotypes desired for experiments (20%).

Generate DNA constructs (15%).

Prepare common laboratory stock solutions (5%).

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in Biology or Biochemistry + less than one year of experience of relevant experience, OR Equivalent combination of education/experience.

General Biology.

Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in Drosophila Genetics.
