Position Summary
The UB Teacher Residency Program ( UBTR ) is seeking a detail-oriented Research Support Associate for our program research and evaluation team. The selected candidate will be actively involved in the data collection and analysis processes for the iSEL (Integrated Social-Emotional Learning) Video Reflection and Analysis Program and would also support quantitative data analysis on program outcomes. Ideal candidates will have familiarity with quantitative and qualitative research as well as culturally responsive and sustaining practices. The ideal candidate will also have an interest in reflection, analysis, SEL , and models of inquiry related to deepening self- awareness and development in adult SEL competencies.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct data collection activities related to the iSEL Video Reflection and Analysis Pilot Program.
  • Analyze collected data using mixed research methods, with a primary focus on qualitative approaches
  • Collaborate with Postdoctoral Associate and program leaders surrounding the interpretation of data.
  • Assist in preparing reports summarizing key findings and insights.
  • Assist in the ongoing refinement and enhancement of the iSEL pilot program.
  • Handle administrative and organizational tasks related to the pilot program.

This position will be a one-year appointment. Additional appointments are contingent upon future grant funding.

Minimum Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in education, psychology, or a related field;
  • Strong analytical and research skills;
  • Familiarity or a strong interest in culturally responsive social-emotional learning concepts and practices in teacher education and beyond;
  • Experience with mixed methods research;
  • Excellent communication, organization, detail-orientation, and collaboration abilities; and
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software and/or a willingness to deepen this skill.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with video analysis and technology platforms;

Physical Demands
Salary Range $35,000
Additional Salary Information The salary range reflects our good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of posting, the role and associated responsibilities, and the experience, education, and training of the selected candidate.
Work Hours
37.5 hours per week
8:30 A.M. - 5:00 P.M
Monday - Friday may involve some evenings on occasion
