Position Summary
A Research Technician III position is available at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine with Dr. Zhibin Cui's Oral / Head and Neck cancer research team.


The scholarly research activities will consist of:

  • Mammalian cell culture, PCR , immunoblotting
  • Mice working including: drug treatment, tumor measurement, image, transgenic mice breeding and genotyping
  • Transient transfection, lentiviral infection, stable line generation
  • Molecular cloning: Gateway, Gibson, sgRNA et al
  • Flowcytometry: multiple channel FACS analysis, immune profiling
  • Bioinformatic analysis: Python, R, datamining, et al.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate's degree, or higher college level courses and at least 4 years of experience directly related to the project or program
  • Experiences in a biomedical science or related field
  • Prior experience working in a research laboratory and ability to work independently
  • Ability to troubleshoot laboratory protocols
  • Competence in molecular biology techniques
  • Highly self-disciplined
  • Experience working with Word, Excel, Power Point and basic imaging software

  • Genetic bioinformatic analysis

Physical Demands
Salary Range $39,015 - $70,000
Additional Salary Information The salary range reflects our good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of posting, the role and associated responsibilities, and the experience, education, and training of the selected candidate.
