Summary
Conducts patient assessment and administers physician prescribed treatments, therapies, and procedures in accordance with policies and best practice guidelines under the direction of a Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner. Monitors patient safety and response to treatments, therapies and procedures. Operates and maintains equipment, documents in the electronic medical record, and maintains the required level of competence in departmental policies and procedures, HIPAA standards, and quality assurance guidelines.

Education
Actively enrolled and in good standing in a Respiratory Therapy program or within 6 months post-graduation from a Respiratory Therapy program with pending licensure OR a Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner without successful certification completion by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) is required.

Basic Life Support (BLS) is required
