Schedule: Full Time Nights

Shift : 3 12-hour shifts (6:45pm-7:15am)

• Established in 1997 and now a 203-bed hospital

• AdventHealth Celebration Health was designed as a Mediterranean resort-style facility to serve as a cornerstone of health in Disney's planned community of Celebration, Florida

All within a 'living laboratory' of groundbreaking, research-driven clinical solutions that integrate mind, body and spirit in the defeat of illness and disease

The role you'll contribute: The Respiratory Care Clinical Specialist is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of an assigned group of patients. Functions as an Advanced Respiratory Therapist; ability to accept leadership responsibility in the absence of a Supervisor, as directed. Adheres to Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

• Must satisfactorily complete an orientation, airway management competencies, critical care and advanced critical care-training program, a proficiency exam, and be proficient at all applicable procedures defined below.

• Functions as a collaborative member and respiratory clinical resource for the interdisciplinary team.

• Acts as a patient safety advocate, ensures quality care through continuing knowledge of evidence-based practices.

• Practices and enforces the principles of standard precautions and enforces safety regulations; according, to hospital policies on a continual basis. Ensures that documentation and charges for procedures are accurately completed.

Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed :

Minimum qualifications :

• Associate degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program,

OR

• If hired prior to November 20, 2015, must be a graduate of a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary program

AND

• Two years' post-graduate critical care clinical experience

• Valid State of Florida license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Only for CC: 0520, 1520, 3604, 3728, 4270, 5040, 7630, 7637, 9390

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - Only for CC: 1520, 7633, 7637

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - Only for CC: 1520, 3604, 3728, 7633, 7637

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science Program
