Respiratory Care Supervisor

Prima r y Duties:

• Acts as a liaison with physicians and other departments and resolves functional inconsistencies. Assists in the development of departmental goals, objectives , policies, and procedures.

• Works collaboratively with the Director of Cardiopulmonary Services to seek and utilize information to develop and implement services which support organizational objectives , patient care standards and quality care.

• Facilitates appropriate staffing for the Cardiopulmonary Departments. Participates in departmental corrective action activities and provides appropriate supervision to all departmental staff. Participates in the development and implementation of competency assessment and validation.

• Participates in the development of departmental operating budget and ensures that department operates within budget. Participates in the development, implementation, and monitoring of departmental performance improvement activities.

• Participates in the selection , training, and orientation of departmental staff. Performs patient care activities as needed.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree.

• 2 years related experience.

• NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care) Certified/Registered Respiratory Therapist and valid license in the State of Maryland.
