Respiratory Therapist RRT (Per Diem) - Abington

The Registered Respiratory Therapist administers respiratory therapy procedures to examine, diagnose, and treat patients with respiratory and pulmonary disorders. The Respiratory Therapist assesses patient condition and consults with physicians to determine appropriate treatment plans, and monitors patient progress following procedures to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment. The Respiratory Therapist also documents all patient care activities and ensures they comply with the appropriate quality of care standards and regulations of the department.

Qualifications

Professional competency in the science of Respiratory Care commensurate with the NBRC credential.

Graduate of a AMA approved School of Respiratory Care. Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care. Licensed by the State Board of Medicine or State Board of Osteopathic Medicine. Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support/BLS. Associate's/2-year degree required.

ACLS and/or NALS preferred. Prior experience preferred.
