Position Summary

Restaurant Busser will ensure a seamless dining experience for the guests. Working closely with the waitstaff and bartenders to maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining and bar areas, assisting in delivering exceptional guest service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Clears and resets tables to accommodate incoming guests, ensuring each table is clean and properly set up for the next party.
  2. Supports waitstaff by delivering food and beverages to tables, refilling water glasses, and other complimentary items.
  3. Collaborates with bartenders to maintain cleanliness and organization in bar areas, assists in stocking supplies, and ensuring bar tops are clean and presentable.
  4. Assists in the setup and breakdown of dining and bar area before and after service, including arranging tables and chairs, setting up tableware, and ensuring proper disposal of waste.
  5. Ensures guest satisfaction through prompt service.
  6. Compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
  7. Effective communication with team members and management.
  8. Collaborates with team for smooth operations.
  9. Professionalism in all interactions.
  10. Maintains adequate supplies of items such as clean linens, silverware, glassware, dishes, and trays.
  11. Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility for all team members and are expected to report to work based upon the assigned schedule each day in accordance with the Attendance Policy for Pueblo of Sandia.

  2. A quality guest service experience is an essential component for all Team members working at the Pueblo of Sandia particularly those positions assigned to work in all public areas.

Key Performance Indicators

This position has Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) identified as a measurement of success. KPI's will be shared with all team members who work in this job title and feedback will be provided regarding the successful completion of the KPI's as part of the performance review process.

  1. Knowledge of basic restaurant and bar procedures, including table setup, food and beverage service, and cleanliness standards.
  2. Knowledge of service ware, setting tables, and proper removal of soiled service ware.

Requirements:

Education and Experience

Required:
  1. Must be at least 18 years of age.


Preferred:
  1. High School Diploma, GED certification or equivalent.


Note: Relevant work experience or education may be substituted to satisfy education and/or work experience.

License/Certifications/Registrations

  1. Must successfully complete the New Mexico Food Handlers course within 30 days of hire date.

Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.

Lifting

Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires substantial use of upper extremities and back muscles.

Using upper extremities to exert force to draw, haul, or tug objects in a sustained motion.

Pushing

Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force to thrust forward, downward, or outward.

Job requirements include, in the performance of duties, walking throughout the work area, on various work surfaces throughout internal or external locations.

Stooping
