Summary:
Creates and maintains training curriculum and content, including end-user and facilitator training materials supporting the onboarding and development of all Revenue Cycle staff and staff across the organization who are engaging in Revenue Cycle functions. Conducts training classes with a high level of revenue cycle knowledge, skill, and ability, resulting in high trainee satisfaction and the ability to apply new knowledge in their work environment. Coordinates all aspects of the training program: Works with management to assess and prioritize training needs, partners with area experts to develop standard work, and creates training materials and programs in appropriate mediums (Epic, web-based, video-based, and in-person). Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
Training Development, Evaluation, and Improvement
1. Works with operational areas to identify and prioritize training needs; works with content experts to create standard work; transfers standard work into effective training materials in the appropriate format (Epic, online, PowerPoint, Video, or other)
2. Develops and maintains a detailed outline of specific learning objectives and content offerings (curriculum map)
3. Coordinates, compiles, evaluates, and approves attendance, assessments, evaluation, and associated metrics. Prepares weekly and monthly reports of training activity and statistics. Presents materials/metrics to stakeholders as needed.

Teaching and Coaching
4. Plans, coordinates, and executes all training programs to include (1) Revenue Cycle orientation and overview, (2) Quality Improvement and Daily Management Systems, (3) Epic Workflow and reporting, (4) any other training programs as needed/assigned.
5. Plans, coordinates, and executes large cross-functional training programs and remedial training programs in one-on-one and small-group formats.
6. Provides teaching and coaching both in virtual formats and in-person on Campus as needed.
7. Onboards and coaches new trainers; creates new training materials/products as needed.

Coordination
8. Coordinates the Training Curriculum Committee to seek high-level guidance to training strategy; incorporates guidance into plans and activities.
9. Coordinates all training-related communication with supervisors/managers/HR and creates and distributes monthly e-newsletters (for internal and external customers).
10. Develops, maintains, and manages a repository of training materials, content, and standard work/job aid documents.
11. Prepares master training schedule several months in advance and reviews periodically with the management team.
12. Coordinates all logistical requirements of training, including, but not limited to, room reservations, document preparation, food orders, and room set-up. Coordinates shadowing and leads walking tours.

Required Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor level degree in Adult Education, Communication, Psychology, Finance or related field or 5+ years of related experience in progressive roles.
• Expertise in healthcare denials
• Two years of training, teaching, or coaching experience or two years of revenue cycle experience
• Proficient in Epic Navigation and reporting; healthcare revenue cycle modules preferred
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations; rapidly learns new information and articulates it in an appropriate and effective way for various audiences.
• Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership; ability to improvise quickly to identify solutions.
• Recognizes the communication and learning styles of others and adjusts their style to meet the style of their audience; provides constructive feedback in a respectful manner.
• Collaborative, attentive, and responsive to the needs of their internal clients and others.
