Job Summary:

Join the Winter Wonderland team at The Ben Hotel as a Rink Monitor and Ice Skate Rental Attendant! This dynamic, on-ice position is perfect for experienced figure or hockey skaters who enjoy engaging with guests while ensuring a safe and fun skating experience. If you have a passion for skating and excellent customer service skills, we want you on our team!

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Interaction: Greet and interact with guests daily, providing exceptional customer service and solutions to meet their needs.
• Safety Monitoring: Ensure a safe skating environment by monitoring the rink, enforcing the Skaters Code of Conduct, and assisting guests on and off the ice.
• Skate Rental Assistance: Hand out rental skates, demonstrate how to wear them properly, and ensure they are stored correctly after use.
• Waiver Support: Assist customers with their online waivers on-site and check them in using an iPad to streamline the rental process.
• Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep the skating rink and surrounding areas clean and organized, ensuring a pleasant environment for all guests.
• Code of Conduct Enforcement: Engage with customers while enforcing the skating rules, creating a memorable and enjoyable experience.
• Problem Solving: Use high attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills to address any issues or concerns that may arise during shifts.
• Team Collaboration: Follow clear instructions given by the Manager or Supervisor on duty, collaborating with team members to ensure efficient operations.
• Customer Engagement: Actively engage with guests to enhance their experience and encourage a fun and safe atmosphere on the ice.

Qualifications:

• Skating Experience: Applicants must be experienced skaters, 16 years or older, with a demonstrated background in skating.
• Customer Service Skills: Strong customer service skills and a friendly demeanor are essential for this role.
• Resume Requirement: Your resume must include your ice-skating background to be considered for this position.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and skate for extended periods, assist guests on and off the ice, and perform cleaning tasks as needed.
