Department/Unit Summary

We provide psychiatric and behavioral health inpatient care services:

-Comprehensive medical and psychological evaluations

-Individualized treatment plan

-Recovery oriented coping and life skills training

-Medication management and education

-Individual, group, and family therapy

-Recreational and occupational therapy

-Spiritual care

-Discharge planning

Qualifications

Qualifications and requirements

Applicants should have a current VA (or Multi-state) RN license and possess a nursing degree from an accredited nursing school (Bachelor's degree required). Additional requirements include:

• Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency,
  
  dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred.
• Two years leadership or charge nurse experience, preferred.
• May be required to work flexible hours. Must agree to travel across campuses if needed by the Director (SOVAH Martinsville / SOVAH Danville).
  
  Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association (AHA) required.
  
  Handle with Care required with 30 days of hire
