Salary: $ 28.00-$35.00/hour based on experience

Supervision: Assistant Director

Hours: Monday thru Thursday 8:30 am to 6:00pm, Friday 8:30 am to 12:30 pm

Position Description: The RN Clinic Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the clinic, managing staff, and ensuring the highest level of patient care. This position will be responsible for new patient intakes and collecting all information from patients that is needed for all accreditation standards, insurance information, consents and any releases of information. The RN clinic manager will also act as the IHH Nurse Care Manager and will oversee the IHH program with the IHH Care coordinator and peer support. This position will be responsible for the oversight and organization of pharmacy rep connections, Aegis Lab, Unity Point EHR, TB screening for new employees, collaborating with the substance use team for groups and Narcan orders.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the clinic
  • Complete all new patient intakes and assessments, including all documentation required upon intake for all accreditations.
  • Collect insurance cards from all patients and understand how to navigate insurance portals.
  • Communicate with Assistant Director as needed regarding needs of the clinic.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards
  • Provide appropriate and timely documentation in the patient's electronic health record using standardized workflows and processes.
  • Send/Receive faxes for required information as needed.
  • Uploading documentation into HER
  • Must have experience with co- occurring diagnosis and with behavioral health services.
  • Verifies each patient's insurance coverage as needed
  • Perform clerical duties for the daily operation of the practice
  • Collaborate with the providers in the clinic regarding new patients.
  • Participate in the hiring process, training and performance of providers in coordination with the Assistant Director and Director.
  • Oversee IHH team, with IHH Care Coordinator
  • Completes IHH risk stratification every 90 days for IHH clients.
  • Facilitation of communication between IHH clients and their PCP.
  • Monitoring of Aegis Lab system and Genesight
  • Complete patient file reviews as directed by the Assistant Director
  • Monitor Narcan and trainings
  • Builds effective relationships resulting in cohesive, cooperative, and communicative work force within the organization.
  • Assist with nursing duties as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by Assistant Director/ Director

Education /Skills Requirements:
  • Minimum RN active license in the state of Iowa.
  • Prefer RN with BSN
  • 2 years or more supervisory experience and skills to provide direction and feedback.
  • Experience with behavioral health field including substance use.
  • Experience and knowledge of behavioral health services is not limited to medications, mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
  • Knowledge of personnel administration and patient relation principles.
