Position Summary:

Works with Department Manager and Director to ensure the planning, coordination and provision of nursing care to patients on specified units and shifts. Supervises and delegates care responsibilities to nursing and ancillary personnel, commensurate with their scope of practice. Promotes the use of best practices in the delivery of patient care. Facilitates Lean Daily Management activities. Works collaboratively with leadership to promote professional nursing practice and behavior.

Qualifications:

Knowledge & Skills:

Required Training/Education/Experience/Certification: Minimum one year previous critical care, step down or telemetry experience and basic computer skills. High School or Equivalent. Associates or Equivalent. BLS, ACLS, CA RN license.

Desired Training/Education/Experience/Certification: Previous charge nurse experience in Critical Care setting; CCRN or RNC. Bachelor's Degree. Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential. Must be fluent in spoken and written English. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
