Grady Health System offers many career paths for Registered Nurses. Whether you have many years of experience or are in the early stages on your nursing career, you can find a rewarding nursing position at Grady!
The DEU at Grady is an acute care unit specifically developed for nursing students and staffed by clinical nurses who act as Clinical Teachers. This unit allows Georgia State nursing students to work one-on-one with a registered nurse and creates a pathway to employment upon graduation. Senior practicum nursing students have the advantage of learning about the equipment, protocols and processes of the facility thus making them a stronger candidate upon employment. Students are responsible for their learning and peer teaching. Registered nurses are responsible for overall patient care and mentoring students. Faculty ensure that students have relevant learning opportunities and evaluate student progress.
