Spinal Cord and Comprehensive Rehab Unit - Elkin's Park

The Comprehensive Rehab Unit (CRU) is a 50 bed unit located on the 3rd floor of Elkins Park Moss Rehab. 3 Main has 26 beds and 3 West has 24 beds. The patient population on 3 Main and 3 West is varied. Primary diagnoses include but are not limited to patients with: upper and lower limb amputations, total hip and knee replacements, hip fractures, orthopedic trauma, debility from medical complexities and other co-morbidities, transplant patients, stroke patients and cancer rehab and cardiac rehab patients.

CRU has a multidisciplinary team consisting of Registered Nurses, Nursing Assistants, unit clerks, a clinical manager and a nurse manager.

Spinal Cord Injury Rehab - 1 North is a 20-bed Spinal Cord Injury Unit at Moss Rehab Elkins Park specializing in the care of traumatic and non-traumatic spinal injuries. Registered Nurses and Nursing Assistants work closely with the interdisciplinary team that includes physicians, occupational and physical therapists, neuropsychology, social work, clinical specialist, and dietary

to provide the best education and outcomes for the patients served.

Brain Injury and Stroke Unit- Elkin's Park

Brain Injury (BIC) is a 30-bed traumatic brain injury unit. Pt ages- 14-90+

Stroke West is a 30-bed stroke unit Pt. ages 18+

Comprehensive Rehab Unit -Philadelphia Tabor Road

We are a 21 bed general rehab unit. Our unit specializes in LVADs, life vests, milrinone drips and liver transplants. We also serve patients with strokes, ortho trauma, general ortho, amputees and mild traumatic brain injuries. The ages served are 18 and above.

Moss Frankford Ave & Aria Bucks

Moss Frankford is total hip or total knee replacements, amputees, cerebral vascular accidents, and other neurological and orthopedic conditions. 12 bed comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation unit, with 5 two bed rooms 2 single rooms. In alignment with departmental and organizational mission and values, nursing care at MossRehab at Frankford is an integral part of the interdisciplinary health care delivery model. Care is delivered incorporating the Watson Theory of Human Caring into practice. It is the mission of MossRehab staff to maintain a progressive professional environment in order to provide skilled physical intervention and focused psychosocial support to patients. This is accomplished through a coordinated and collaborative approach to patient care, which includes interdisciplinary care, teaching and discharge planning to patients and their families.

Moss Aria Bucks County Campus primary diagnoses include but are not limited to patients: with total hip or total knee replacements, amputees, cerebral vascular accidents, and other neurological and orthopedic conditions. In alignment with departmental and organizational mission and values, nursing care at MossRehab at Aria Health Bucks County Campus is an integral part of the interdisciplinary health care delivery model. Care is delivered incorporating the Watson Theory of Human Caring in to practice. It is the mission of MossRehab staff to maintain a progressive professional environment in order to provide skilled physical intervention and focused psychosocial support to patients. This is accomplished through a coordinated and collaborative approach to patient care, which includes interdisciplinary care, teaching and discharge planning to patients and their families.

Moss Doylestown

Moss Rehab Doylestown is a 12-bed acute rehab unit, with private rooms, registered nurses, nursing aides, medical professionals, and highly skilled therapy staff in all therapeutic disciplines. Currently, it is the only acute rehab in the Central Bucks region serving Doylestown and its surrounding areas since June 27 th , 2012. We serve orthopedic, stroke, brain, spinal, and various rehab injuries and needs. Our high patient satisfaction rating and the unique service we provide make Moss an asset to the community.

Responsibilities

Schedule Commitment

Schedules are available 6 weeks in advance. The work schedule commitment for this position requires the following:
  • Must be able to work twelve (12) hour shifts
  • Must be able to work every third(3 rd ) weekend
  • Holiday commitment consists of 1 holiday per season

Responsibilities

As a registered nurse, responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Performs patient procedures within the nursing scope of practice.
  • Practices safe medication administration and assesses patient responses to medication.
  • Participates in reviewing and/or implementing clinical pathways and care coordination


Qualifications

To qualify as registered nurse, you must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • BSN Degree preferred
  • State Issued RN license
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association

Conditions of Employment

Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
