Position Summary



This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of MemorialCare Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. The employee shall support Long Beach Memorial Medical Center’s strategic plan and participate in and advocate performance improvement/patient safety activities.

Utilizing the nursing process and clinical nursing practice standards, the Non-Invasive Cardiology RN is responsible for directing and coordinating nursing care for the Non-Invasive Cardiology patient in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Nursing Department. The RN responsibilities include directing unlicensed employee activity, synthesizing patient information, assessment of patients, planning of care/interventions, teaching patients/family, implementation of treatment plan/MD orders, and evaluation of care rendered. The RN must effectively communicate and document data relevant to the care of the patient. The RN utilizes knowledge of patient age, cultural diversity, psychosocial and/or spiritual needs into the patient’s plan of care.The RN contributes to the promotion of quality nursing care through performance improvement processes that demonstrates positive outcomes in patient care.In addition, the RN collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure safe and effective patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. Qualifications

Minimum Requirements



Qualifications/Work Experience:

  • Completion of pre-employment drug screening. Completion of pre-employment criminal background reference check.
  • Completion of pre-employment health evaluation including TB screening and annual or bi-annual re-evaluation as indicated by Employee Health.
  • One-year minimum experience in pediatric and/or women's hospital preferred.
  • The RN must be able to comply with the every other weekend work commitment as well as be available to work and be scheduled any day of the week.
  • 3 years of RN experience in Cardiac Telemetry preferred.


Education/Licensure/Certification:

  • BSN required or experienced RN in an accredited BSN program.
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in California.
  • BLS via the American Heart Association
  • ACLS via the American Heart Association
  • PALS via the American Heart Association
  • Completion of unit orientation and clinical competency validation.
