Compensation :
Pay Range: $40.63 - $58.42 / hour

UAB Medicine supports work/life balance. The shifts available for this unit are:
- Full-Time AM: 3 12-hour shifts per week
- Flexi/PRN

Job Highlights :
To coordinate the daily operations of the center to ensure smooth patient flow. Acts as a liaison with other healthcare team members to coordinate bed assignments. Provides staff supervision. Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Schedules staff to ensure patient coverage; assigns work activities and oversees training. Arranges for any temporary or PRN staff needed to ensure adequate department coverage.
2. Coordinates bed assignments and maintains flow of cases within the department. Communicates with physicians and other healthcare team members regarding patient care.
3. Enhances the delivery of patient care and services; resolves issues that impede the overall effective and efficient operation of the center.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Nursing and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required. Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required or should be obtained within 30 days of employment. Depending on the unit/department, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) may be required.
