Registered Nurse (RN) Labor & Delivery

Full-time Days

Maternal Level IV designated Labor & Delivery/OBED department is looking for top skilled nurses. Is that you?

Work location: Texas Health Ft. Worth, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104

• The Women's Center at Texas Health Ft. Worth, a MAGNET, and Texas 10-Step facility, has previously been named "Best Place to Have a Baby" and is a Maternal Level IV designated facility

Work hours: Full Time Days (6:30AM-7PM) for 36 hours/week, with Weekend and holiday requirements plus some call-requirements

Labor & Delivery Department highlights:

• Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth

• Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team

• 18-bed LDR's, 5-bay OB/ED, 5 triage rooms, 3 OR suites

• Average 300 + deliveries per month

• Wide range of patients and plan of care - water births, nitrous oxide, Midwifery and high-risk patients.

Here's What You Need

• Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma required

• BSN is preferred

• CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)

• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required

• One-year experience as a clinical nurse (RN), or completion of an RN residency program.

• One year of Labor & Delivery RN experience strongly preferred

• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required

• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within 90 days of hire

• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days is required

• NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days Required

• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

• Assesses the patient

• Plans the care of the patient

• Intervenes as appropriate

• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
