PRN II

  • Work location: Texas Health Southwest, 6100 Harris Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76132
  • Mother friendly designated, a Texas 10-Step designated, and a Magnet designated facility
  • Work hours: PRN Level II: On an as needed basis (7PM-7AM) - Minimum of 3 shifts per 6-week schedule, 1 Weekend shift per 6-week schedule, and 1 major & 1 minor holiday shift per year; During Training - prefer 2 shifts per week

  • Our team is like a family with a newly expanded Level III Neonatal ICU/NICU unit with 16-beds - utilizing CPAP, Bubble CPAP, vents, & oscillators and working with Feeders/Growers as well


Here's What You Need

• Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma required

• BSN is preferred

• One-year experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) Required

• One year of Neonatal ICU/NICU Level III RN experience strongly preferred.

• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required

• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required

• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days is required

• NRPA - Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days Required

• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained 90 days required.

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

• Assesses the patient

• Plans the care of the patient

• Intervenes as appropriate

• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
