This is a full time, day shift Salary role working an 8 hour shift 5 days a week. It includes some flexibility with the start time and is located at Scripps Chula Vista. There is administrative call on rotating weekends and some call on week nights.
This position is eligible for a New Hire Bonus up to $8.5K, and the yearly Supervisor incentive compensation plan.

As the Supervisor of 4 OR suites (Preop/PACU and Main OR) you will work with the OR team to ensure the nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety. This role is 30% clinical/70-ministrative. You will oversee approximately 30 employees ( RNs, CST, PCAs).
Under the general direction of the Patient Care Manager, shares leadership responsibilities for the nursing unit, including managing daily staffing plans, attending meetings, making rounds and attending to the needs in the department. Also, ensures appropriate and timely use of bed placement technology (Teletracking) and adherence to care processes for bed placement/patient transfer/patient transport/room cleaning and patient discharge. Ensures the safe transition of patients thru the continuum of care to include active participation of nursing staff in planning and coordinating patient care, and direct hand-off to next appropriate level of care.

• Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago
In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:
• Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
• Must remain in original department/specialty
• Must remain in original Job Title
• Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- CA RN License
- Two years OR RN experience,
- One year in a leadership role.
- Excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through.
- Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care. Graduate of an accredited program.
- Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider and all competencies/certifications required of the charge RN on the unit.
- 3-5 years OR RN experience
- 2 years leadership experience
- PACU experience
- CNOR
- BSN
