Trauma Performance Improvement Coordinator works in collaboration with the Trauma Medical Director (TMD) and The Trauma Program Manager (TPM) to improve the quality of care that encompasses all areas and disciplines of the hospital that participate in the management of the injured patient.
This position is responsible for the coordination, implementation, facilitation and adherence to the Trauma Performance Improvement Program/Plan to include data collection, analysis and trending and benchmarking of data and outcomes.
This role collaborates with the TMD and TPM to identify and develop processes to improve outcomes.
This position has the responsibility of ensuring adherence to hospital and trauma policies & procedures and clinical practice management guidelines.

Qualifications
Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
5 + years of experience in emergency, trauma or critical care areas required.
3 + years of quality improvement experience required.
Ability to manage projects required.
Ability to perform statistical analysis with problem solving skills required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office software and database management required.
Strong organizational skills required.
Experience with utilizing performance measurement tools and techniques ex.
Control charts, PDSA, ect. preferred.
Current Pennsylvania RN license.
Conditions of Employment
Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
