ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Coordinates staff scheduling, educational/development activities, and performance evaluations.Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of clinical services.Performs quality assurance studies and assists with implementation of QA/QI initiatives.Serves as a resource to staff and external contacts on issues related to patient care, patient flow and clinical standards, policies and procedures.Monitors departmental compliance with applicable requirements, including accreditation, legal, andThe Joint Commission.Will assume required call for department when scheduled. Call will be split between other Clinical Coordinators during scheduling period.Will show quarterly proof of engagement in hospital clinical ladder (see clinical ladder policy)Will attend one annual leadership course

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum EducationAssociate's Degree Nursing (ADN): RequiredBachelor's degree (BSN): Preferred
Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Basic Life Support (BLS)Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)(NRP) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (preferred)Handle with Care or equivalent within 90 days(TNCC ) Trauma Nursing Core Course (preferred)(ENPC) Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (preferred)Licenses: Registered Nurse, KYKentucky RN state licensure or compact licensure requiredPrefer National Certification in area of specialty or within (1) year
