Responsibilities

Serve as a clinical, quality, evidence-based practice and patient safety expert. Develop caregivers in specific clinical areas in collaboration with clinical leaders. Drive nursing quality indicators and evidence-based practice guidelines to improve patient outcomes.

  • Partner with clinical leaders to serve as a resource and supports caregivers to improve outcomes. Assist in identifying opportunities to improve quality and safety outcomes.
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders and clinical professional development in identifying gaps and developing plans to improve professional growth, skills and competencies.
  • Support clinical leaders in aggregating and interpreting various quality/patient safety data with a focus on using data to drive improved care outcomes and nursing practice.
  • Guide the implementation of Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) projects, including the revision of order sets and practice guidelines at the unit or division level.
  • Aide in the analysis of research outcomes and devises strategies for their incorporation into evidence-based clinical practice guidelines.
  • Conduct unit rounds with a focus on coaching and mentoring in partnership with clinical leadership

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Red Cross or American Heart Association accepted.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited school/college of nursing required.

Work Experience:

• 2 years applicable experience required.

• 5 years preferred.


Additional Preferences

Required - Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Prefers Master's degree in Nursing

Prefers 3 years of applicable experience.
