Rotating Billing Coordinator

Cozen O'Connor is seeking a Rotating Billing Coordinator to work within the firm's Finance department. The incumbent will be amenable to working with a flexible billing assignment and tasks supporting the billing and eBilling processes.

Please note this is a hybrid work opportunity based in Philadelphia, 3 days in the office, 2 days remote. This position will report directly to the Senior Manager of Billing.

Job duties and responsibilities:
  • Generate and distribute pre-bills as requested
  • Process narrative edits, time, and cost adjustments
  • Redact back up when required
  • Process final invoices
  • Generate LEDES and other file formats for electronic billing
  • Submit electronic billing using via Bill Blast
  • Ensure successful transmission of E-Bills and follow up when necessary
  • Implement and maintain correct client exception rates on matter/client, where required
  • Manage daily billing assignments" by maintaining current information on attorney preferences, proforma status, and billing cycles
  • Matter and bill group maintenance in Expert

Requirements:
  • Ability to handle a fluctuating workload based on current demand as assigned
  • Proficient at prioritizing requests to meet deadlines
  • Must be proficient in MS Word and MS Excel
  • Legal Billing and Aderant Expert experience preferred
  • Bill Blast experience a plus
  • Widespread knowledge of the different types of legal billing a plus
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and accuracy are a must
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Must be proactive, work well under pressure, and excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, highly organized and reliable, have the ability to multi-task and work well in a team environment
  • Professional and courteous communication with clients, attorneys, paralegals and staff is a must
  • High School diploma (or G.E.D.) required, bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Law firm experience preferred
