The Safety and Security Officer Supervisor collaborates with the Facilities Director to develop, prepare, and implement safety and security policies and procedures.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Minimum Training: Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written. Ability to commentate tactfully with the general public and specialty patients including patients with behavioral health concerns or those with altered mental status that may want to cause harm to themselves or others. Knowledge of methods of security in buildings and grounds to include ability to de-escalate situations once alerted. Ability to engage in physical confrontations with suspected offenders and handle situations as they arise.

Minimum Education: A high school diploma or GED is a requirement
Certification/License: This position requires a current and valid driver’s license and minimal computer literacy. Ability to work overtime as required.

Job Description
The Safety and Security Officer Supervisor collaborates with the Facilities Director to develop, prepare, and implement safety and security policies and procedures.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Coordinates the safety and security programs to promote and ensure a safe working environment.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of safety and security programs.
- Reviews current safety training and recommends revisions, improvements, and updates.
- Submits recommendations for improvements and additions to the safety management program including emergency preparedness, accident prevention, general safety, and risk management.
- Overseeing security systems, electronic surveillance, and building security operations
- Preparing and conducting training for new and current staff on safety and security topics.
- Responding to security incidents and overseeing emergency situations
