My client is looking for a Safety Coordinator in the Glendale, KY area. This individual will have a very important job when it comes to making sure one of the biggest battery plants in the world is following all safety precautions. A lot of what this individual can expect to be performing include: Pre inspection check list, training the team on toolbox meetings, ensuring all safety protocols and procedures are being followed, assist with checking electrical equipment/carts, as well as daily safety checks. This person should not expect to be hands on with this equipment but instead be the individual that oversees the electricians, plumbers, and technicians to ensure they are following the safety procedures. It is important this person is very levelheaded and coming from a very similar background. This person will be working with management to collaborate on new protocols and improving the existing ones. By no means will this person have any direct reports but will be expected to be aware and take action when they see any individual on the plant floor not following safety precautions. This individual will be coming in right before a shift change and can expect to be overseeing abut 30 individuals at once and hosting 1 toolbox meeting weekly.

Required Skills & Experience

5 plus years of safety manager experience at a large-scale similar industry
OSHA 30 Certified
Familiarity with hazardous materials/electrical equipment
