General Summary....

In support of facilities compliance, the Safety Coordinator will perform internal safety and security audits. The Safety Coordinator will also be responsible for training all internal employees on health and safety regulations.

This position will be responsible for.....
  • Inspects work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with company, state, and federal safety policies and regulations.
  • Documenting safety inspections, citing dangerous areas/procedures and recommending corrective procedures, and maintaining safety equipment supply and availability.
  • Create audit templates, generate reports, manage user accounts, train end users, and lead computer file maintenance.
  • Participates in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) inspections, providing inspectors with appropriate documents and identifying safety measures.
  • Identify hazardous workplace conditions.
  • Train employees on safety, company policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to employee safety.
  • Maintain safety and security records.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

Education/Experience
  • In lieu of degree, high school diploma or GED and 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with OSHA laws and requirements.
  • Strong working knowledge of safety and security requirements.
  • Familiarity with IOS devices and applications.
  • Experience modifying and creating CVS and XLS files.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer service driven.
  • Strong team player.
