Purpose
Work as a process safety engineer within Safety Engineering Department

Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring that the Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) aspects of the design within the project scope are maintained to the relevant acceptable standards and comply with applicable legislation. Provision of technical assurance across the process safety and loss prevention activities and deliverables on this project as detailed in this job description.
  • Gathering & compiling process safety information.
  • Participating and coordinating Hazard Studies, specifically HAZIDs, What-Ifs, HAZOP, LOPAs,
  • Leading and managing post Hazard Studies activities, specifically Action Items Tracking
  • Undertaking Process Safety Reviews such as Hazardous Area Classification, etc.
  • Recommend where any additional Process Safety reviews are necessary because of scope change, design development, etc.
  • Check that all required Process Safety Reviews are completed.
  • At the end of each project phase, ensure that all lists, files reports, etc. are filed correctly, ready for input to the next project phase.
  • To support other Worley offices with requests for Process Safety assistance on an Ad-Hoc basis.


Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience with some EPC background
