Job Description
SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under supervision of the Program Director the Security and Safety Lead will:
• Contribute to a positive, welcoming atmosphere for all HERRC guests and staff as a leader of the HERRC program
• Oversee and streamline security at HERRC sites through the management of vendors providing security staff and direct communication with any on site non-H+H contracted security staff, NYPD and vendor security director.
• Lead, motivate and direct staff utilizing client-centered approaches
• Be point of escalation for Site Managers for security and safety issues as they arise in support of a 24/7 operation.
• Provide regular summary reports to the senior leadership on all significant security issues and concerns
• Create evaluative tools such as routine monitoring reports, outcome trends and facility security performance reports.
• Work closely with finance team to ensure timely review, approval and payment of vendor invoices
• Meet with program staff regularly to discuss security concerns and improvements
• Be primary liaison with Hospitals Police and Workplace Violence Coordinator to ensure compliance with H+H policies and procedures
• Demonstrate adaptability and openness to shifting priorities and organizational changes
• Make recommendations for improved person-centered service delivery
• Support any ongoing training in updated security and safety protocols
• Other related duties, as assigned
