Safety and Quality Engineer: The Safety and Quality Engineer serves the Team by ensuring first-time excellence and that we are delivering upon our promises in the areas of Safety, Quality, and Environmental Protection.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, improve safe work practices, and integrate on-site safety requirements to the work
  • Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance, and mentoring to employees on safe work and necessary changes
  • Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as new hire orientation, safety regulations, hazardous condition identification and mitigation, work procedures, and use of equipment
  • Perform safety and quality audits to inspect facilities, machinery, work areas, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards as well as to ensure regulation and procedure compliance
  • Work with Project Teams in the planning stage of the project to develop and/or support project specific tooling, logistics, emergency action, safety, and other plans
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for issues that arise
  • Implement the Project Quality Plan, HSE Manual, Training Manual, Process Manual, Standard Operating Procedures, and Safe Work Plans to projects
  • Responsible for implementing inspection procedures and record keeping for work processes which may include component receiving inspections, hold point inspections, random spot checks, controlling documentation, tool calibrations, and ensuring mechanical completion
Qualifications:
  • Must be able to climb wind turbines
  • Must be available to travel 75%+
