SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Under the direction of the Manager Life Safety, the Safety Specialist will perform safety processes, including injury investigation, building safety inspections, fire extinguisher inspections, fire drills, indoor air quality sampling, safety policy review, ergonomic assessments, safety training, driver safety programs, respiratory fit testing, noise monitoring, employee exposure control monitoring, The safety specialist will participate in safety committees, and monitor and document applicable safety processes for the safe delivery of care and regulatory/standard/code compliance regarding DOH, OSHA, TJC, NFPA, etc.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
- Bachelor's degree in environmental health & safety, occupational health & safety, industrial hygiene, or other related degree or equivalent minimum of four (4) years of experience required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
- Experience in a multi-hospital system.
- CMS Maintenance Program knowledge.
- Training and experience in standards/code/regulations regarding Joint Commission, OSHA, NFPA, PA Department of Health is a plus.
