About the Position:
Our client provides revolutionary products to the entire United States. They are currently looking to bring on a team player to fill an exciting role as a Safety Technician. This role is scheduled for dayshift hours and the hours will be determine at the interview.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the implementation of safety programs and associated activities.
• Filing/scanning of all training documentation.
• Assist with coordinating meetings and training with internal and external departments as needed.
• Assist with safety training at weekly meetings, daily safety huddles, and new hire safety orientations as needed.
• Assist in promoting safe work practices and safe working conditions in accordance with all State, Federal, and Local regulations, and company requirements.
• Assist in research as needed.
• Assist in conducting job site and work area inspections.
• Assist in maintaining safety records, including training records, safety data sheets, chemical inventory, incident investigations, and metrics.
• Assist in performing a training gap analysis and follow-up.
• Assist leaders and associates in identifying and correct potential hazards and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Assist in incident investigations to identify root causes of workplace incidents to develop solutions that prevent recurrence.
• Conducts and/or coordinates training of workers concerning safety laws and regulations, use of safety equipment, devices, clothing, and first aid.
• Assist and support the safety committee, VPP employee engagement team, and first responders.
• Assist with the LMS System as needed.
• Work with the Physical Therapist for new hire scheduling and any related safety matters.
• Coordinate Industrial Massage therapy appointments / Virtual First Aid appointments.
• May assist with other departments as needed.
• Other various duties as assigned by the Safety Manager.
• Continue professional development as required.
• Support and participate in VPP's Special Government Employee (SGE) program.
